All supplies are provided in the five-star rated Joy Crazy Intro to Pickleball class. The 90-minute class on-boards new players to the world of pickleball, teaching foundational skills, game rules, safety, and player etiquette. Plus, it includes one complimentary (FREE!) coached beginning round-robin pickleball "Daisy Doubles" session — always a ton of fun!
Already know how to play?
Joy Crazy Pickleball offers round-robin game sessions called “Daisy Doubles” that pair individuals into teams. Sessions include a group warm-up and cool down. Daisy Doubles session are offered for 2.0-2.75 players and 3.0+ players.

All class registration is completed on the Meetup platform. All supplies are provided. Classes are taught indoors at the Friendly House gym in Northwest Portland, Oregon.

Why Pickleball?
Pickleball is a sport that is fun, easy to learn, and naturally social.
Hi, my name is Shannon Diffenderffer, M.Ed., and I am an IPTPA Level 1 Certified Pickleball Instructor. I have taught hundreds of adults how to play pickleball—through my company, Joy Crazy® and through Community Ed at Portland Community College—and I love it!
Pickleball brings people together across generations, backgrounds, and abilities. I see pickleball not just as a game, but as a powerful antidote to the loneliness epidemic—helping people laugh, move, and feel seen.
